Winter Activities

Durango Train in the WinterDurango-Silverton Narrow Gauge Winter Train
starts its winter schedule on November 22 and goes through May 4. It leaves the Durango Depot at 10 a.m., taking you through a winter wonderland to Cascade Creek where you will have a 45-minute lunch break while the train turns around for its journey back to Durango, arriving at the Depot at 3 p.m. The cost for a regular car, adult fare: $45.If you would like to book the First Class Parlor Car (age 21+) the fare is $95.

Sleigh Rides are available during the day as well as nighttime Dinner Sleigh Rides. Call the Inn for more details on that! 

Snowmobiling is a wonderful way to see the backcountry. Ask John & Celeste to help you figure our which trip is best for you!

Fishing in the Winter?! You can fly fish the San Juan River below the Navajo Dam all year long. We recommend Duranglers to guide on the San Juan River.
