Durango, CO Area Activities...Winter Activities Durango-Silverton Narrow Gauge Winter Train starts its winter schedule on November 22 and goes through May 4. It leaves the Durango Depot at 10 a.m., taking you through a winter wonderland to Cascade Creek where you will have a 45-minute lunch break while the train turns around for its journey back to Durango, arriving at the Depot at 3 p.m. The cost for a regular car, adult fare: $45.If you would like to book the First Class Parlor Car (age 21+) the fare is $95. Sleigh Rides are available during the day as well as nighttime Dinner Sleigh Rides. Call the Inn for more details on that! Snowmobiling is a wonderful way to see the backcountry.
