The Apple Orchard Inn is a unique Durango, Colorado bed and breakfast set in the

orchards and historic farms, County Road
203 leads you to the Apple Orchard Inn.
You will enter the 4 1/2 acre property on a
drive that takes you through the orchard
to the Inn, a large, farmhouse-style home with four guest rooms and six quaint country cabins, which we prefer to call cottages.
John and Celeste Gardiner, owners/innkeepers, will welcome you into the warmth of their elegant home. In the main house, the sitting room is furnished with comfortable furniture, has a river rock fireplace, and original artwork. Exposed beams, large windows and Brazilian cherry wood floors grace the first floor. In the dining room or on the patio, a full hearty breakfast is served to you each morning while you enjoy the views of the surrounding cliffs and mountains and watch the historic Durango & Silverton Narrow Gauge Train as it steams by the
bed & breakfast.
The breakfast, prepared by Celeste, changes daily and includes delicious breakfast entrees served with home-baked breads and pastries. Flexibility in dining times and dietary needs is possible. Also, while living in Europe with John, Celeste received training in Florence, Italy and Paris, France and will prepare dinners
with advance reservations. Of course, afternoon refreshments and snacks are served daily,
including Triple Chocolate Chip Cookies.
 Each of the guestrooms and cottages is uniquely trimmed with exquisite
hardwoods and features elegant country furnishings. Each guestroom and cottage
has a luxurious featherbed and comforter, private bath, vanity with a second
sink, and handcrafted armoire. For those romantic getaways, the Apple Orchard
Inn offers the master bedroom in the house and four cottages with fireplaces, oversized
whirlpool bathtubs, and king-size beds. The Wolf River Cottage has its own
private outdoor hot tub for two. In addition, each
cottage has a covered porch with rockers and swings, and four
cottages have private patios. There is a large hot tub located outside on the patio between the main house and the cottages which is always available for the guests' use.
The Apple Orchard Inn offers lodging conveniently located for your Colorado vacation just 8 miles north of Durango via U.S. Highway 550 and County Road 203. Durango's LaPlata County Airport is only 35 minutes away from the inn. We are close to the 18-hole Dalton Ranch Golf Course and a 20-minute drive to Durango Mountain Resort. Downtown Durango is nearby with its unique shopping, fine dining and great nightlife. Trimble Hot Springs is just down County Road 203 if you want to soak after a day of skiing, hiking or any of the many activities available in the area. With easy access to the Durango & Silverton Narrow Gauge Railroad, Mesa Verde
National Park, many prime fly fishing waters, and river rafting on the Animas River, the Apple Orchard Inn is an excellent home base.
